International Journal of Curative Medicine

Dear Dr. McCoy,

We are pleased to submit our manuscript titled “Mitral valve repair versus replacement: A long-term follow-up study” for consideration as an original article in the International Journal of Curative Medicine.

This study is a long-term retrospective study of 250 adult mitral valve patients who underwent either mitral valve repair or replacement in Japanese hospitals between 1995 and 2000. We found that the long-term survival was significantly higher in the mitral valve repair group, while the freedom from reoperation was not significantly different between the two groups.

This manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration in the same or similar form for any other publication. All authors listed contributed sufficiently to the project to be included as authors, and all those who are qualified to be authors are listed in the author byline. To the best of our knowledge, no conflict of interest, financial or other, exists. We have listed all funding sources after the Discussion.

We believe that this paper will be of great interest to your readers and we hope that you find it acceptable for publication in the International Journal of Curative Medicine.

Sincerely yours,
